Gordon Brown


Dr James Gordon Brown (born 20 February 1951) is the Chancellor of the Exchequer of the United Kingdom and the leader-designate of the Labour Party until 24 June 2007. Brown is set to assume the office of Prime Minister on or shortly after 27 June 2007.[1] He was the Member of Parliament (MP) for the constituency of Dunfermline East in Fife from 1983 to 2005 and, following a reorganisation of parliamentary constituencies in Scotland, is now MP for Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath.
